AF3IRM/GabNet SD member, Olive, honors her Sheroes
My Shero does not consist of one womyn, but many. She’s the sisters I’ve been having the pleasure of working with in this organization, my own sister that’s worked hard for what she has, my mother who’s always been there and try to understand where I’m coming from and she’s the sister that’s been in the struggle and are still fighting for what’s right.
She’s the womyn that’s behind every success, but still reach for more. She’s the womyn that keeps going no matter what’s in store. Someone who does what she can in order to take care of her children. One that never ceases to work just to make a difference.
My Shero does not consist of one womyn, but many. She may not be known by everyone, but she keeps doing what she does best because she knows that even one change can make a huge impact. She’s the sisters in the organization, the sister that works the 9 to 5 to help her family, the mother living from one pay check to another, the sister that gives her all to help humanity and most of all, she’s the sister who keeps fighting in the struggle because a womyn’s place is in it.
